We Work Hard.
We get to work on some pretty amazing projects here at Machine. Whether it’s a small one-page website or a large application with hundreds of interfaces, our expert team of designers and developers works together and tackles it.
Each project is different, and we’re often working on more than one at a time, so we’re usually wearing more than one hat. We all chat with clients on Slack, hold status meetings, conduct training sessions, and help estimate new work.
With each day bringing exciting new challenges, we’re always finding ways to work things out while having fun. You can often find us brainstorming while playing the NES, climbing the wall during meetings, or sketching things out on the glass doors.
We never stop learning.
With such a wide variety of projects, we’re always learning. We explore new technologies, and find new ways to use existing technologies – every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and we take it.
If you find you need in-class or online training, we’ll help get you set up with that too.
We have fun.
We believe that a healthy workplace and a strong sense of community can work wonders in your everyday life – both in and out of the office.
We have several company outings per year, and try to experience something new each time. We also have a larger outing just before the Christmas break – this year we flew to Toronto, took a limo to a nice dinner, then caught a Raptor’s game.
We have a team lunch every Friday, and enjoy barbeque on the patio during the summer. We hit the gym together, volunteer together, and even overcome our fear of public speaking together.
