We were contracted to create two mobile web applications with offline capability for traveling exhibit staff to use while on-location. Using iPads, exhibit staff interact with exhibit patrons and gather feedback on the exhibit and personal information for later use.
Due to unreliable internet access while on the road, we configured the applications to store submissions locally, then upload to a WordPress-based entry management system when an Internet connection is present.
We also made use of the iPad’s touchscreen interface by creating a sortable list to rank exhibit features.
